Once again, I would like to thank Professor Anastassiadis and McGill University's Modern Greek Studies committee for granting me this summer fellowship and allowing me to experience my Grand Tour of Greece during the country's most profound crisis. Similarly to the European men who embarked on a Grand Tour of their own, I interacted with actual inhabitants and recorded their lifestyles, as well as their thoughts and concerns about the current debt crisis.

Not only did I arrive in Greece as a tourist, I also took on the role of journalist, photographer, and researcher. I was attentive of my surroundings, I asked questions, and truly listened when spoken to. I had a genuine interest in hearing what the Greek people had to say. As a Greek Canadian, I wish to end my deliverable by reiterating something that was said to me during my stay in Greece by a man I interviewed:

“Θα τα καταφερουμε εμείς. Θα την βρούμε την άκρη. Πάντα την βρίσκουμε”.

“We will make it. We will find a solution. We always do”.
